Made a double batch of this for the office. It was such a hit, we're having it again for our Christmas party! I cooked chicken breasts in a small slow cooker instead of using canned chicken.

This is a phenominal dip. We never have any left over. I prefer to make as directed, but my brother is not a big bleu cheese fan so somtimes I replace with ranch dressing and it is almost just as good.

I've been making this recipe for parties for about a year now and people always request that I bring it and even though I've made it a dozen times or so now I've never felt anything needs to be changed. I prefer to use canned chicken because it's always very moist and breaks up easily into shreds. Cooking the chicken and shredding it yourself takes forever, although it probably is cheaper. And I definitely use blue cheese dressing (some recipes say you can use ranch instead) and I've used a variety of shredded cheeses, but sharp cheddar and mozzarella are my favorite. I usually coat the top of the mix in shredded cheese before baking it in the oven and it turns out great.

Because we don't like blue cheese, I used a half cup of sour cream, a batch of homemade ranch seasoning mix and I did use mozzerella. Totally inhaled in less than a half hour. I swear to you. Hungry boys after trick-or-treating.....darn near licked the bowl clean! Substituting a reduced fat cream cheese or sour cream/dressing isn't an issue....noone notices. Or my boys didn't.

Super delicious and really easy, a winning combo for sure! Served with celery & carrots, and Fritos Scoops. Everyone loved it. Great football food. Thanks, Frank.

I have never given any recipe a poor rating. This would have been a great recipe if the blue cheese dressing was cut in half or omitted - the blue cheese was overpowering!

I love the flavor of this dip, but I usually make it and then serve it in my crock pot, and it gets pretty greasy just sitting there. Try using low-fat dressing and reduced fat cream cheese to cut down on the oil layer. Oh, and don't forget to add big chunks of blue cheese. That really makes this taste just like hot wings!
