This tastes just like Starbucks! I used a stove top Bialetti espresso maker and an Aerolatte battery operated whisk with some warmed up milk. Milk can also be heated on the stove, on medium to slow boil, and whisked 30 seconds with similar results. I used 1% milk without any problem. I did, however, find that the full recipe would not fit in my mugs. I had to divide the recipe between 2. Starbucks sells their large bottles of syrup for $7-$8 with tax in any flavors, regular or sugar-free, by asking. There is also a popular recipe on-line for caramel machiato that explains how to make the syrup. It also works well. I personally, though, prefer just the milk and the espresso. So, next time I will just use those two ingredients with the ratios below for 2 cups. However, if you are looking for a Starbucks clone, type recipe, try it as written with even adding a little sprayed whipped cream on top.
