AWESOME!!! No tater sauce! REAL fish taco's are NOT served with tater sauce. I MUST try!! Everyone loved them! I didnt use dill, I use cilantro instead. And lots of lime!

I had never tried making fish tacos with fried fish because I generally make a lighter grilled version, but this recipe is SENSATIONAL!!! I used olive oil for frying and used light mayo, light yogurt and light beer and it was still amazingly delicious. We also used Mission brand carb balance tortillas and lightly fried those in the olive oil too and between that and the sauce, it made the dish. Of course it's still fried but it's well worth that splurge you've been saving up for. We can't wait to use this sauce on other dishes, it's THAT good. Seriously, make these tacos you will not be disappointed!!

Changes I made: left out the batter, grilled the fish, used 2 tbsp only of mayo, left out the lime juice and capers. When preparing the tacos, I layered the cabbage, then the sauce and the fish on top. When I didn't have jalapenos, I used 2 tsp of taco seasoning in the yogurt/mayo and that was a great change, too.

This is by far the best fish taco recipe I have ever had! Every time I make these for guests, they can't seem to get enough of them and rave about how good they are. I can say for certain that its the sauce that will determine whether or not a fish taco is good and this sauce it amazing!!! Everything about this recipe is amazing and delicious. I would recommend it to anyone...although I like to keep it a secret for myself Ahahaha!

These are excellent, used frozen battered cod instead. The tangy sauce is soooo good. We didn't use capers. My boyfriend doesn't like fish but with this white sauce, he ate 3 tacos!

Heres the deal. Marinated cubed Tilapia with canola oil, chopped jalepeno, chili powder, lime juice and chopped cilantro for 20 min. Throw on a grill pan at 400 degrees, sprinkle kosher salt on fish pieces as they come out. Used sour cream instead of yogurt( thats all I had)and used the coleslaw mix in the bag(no dressing)-added thinly sliced red onion, fresh salsa and cilantro on flour tortillas(use the small ones!) Amazing! My boyfriend who hates fish tacos went back 4 times!!

I have made this recipe over ten times. I don't do the fried fish portion only sauce. I use a tequila lime marinade on grilled fish and it is an amazing combo. I don't like the jalapeno, so I dropped the peppers and add 1 or 1 tbsp of garlic powder and cut the mayo quantity in half and add more yogurt. Use the extra sauce as a broiled or grilled fish marinade and amaze your friends.
