We love fish tacos but they are REALLY REALLY good when put in a crispy corn taco shell! An alternative to frying fish is to chop it into chunks and sprinkle with salt, cumin, and a bit of butter, toss and bake it on a cookie sheet at 400 until done. About 10 minutes or so.

I'll just add another rave review in agreement with all the rest. I wasn't sure about the sauce, but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I did use a packaged slaw mix this time to save time, but I may have to use shredded lettuce next time to accommodate a few picky eaters. Most of the family really enjoyed these, and I will be making them again. Thanks for the great recipe!

The secret is in the sauce! My 7 YO loves it! Make the sauce (we omit the cayenne for the kiddo). Heat the tortillas on a griddle or in the microwave to save time & calories. Use fish sticks to save time. I prefer using broccoli slaw rather than cabbage.

Tried this recipe due to the high rating and was not disapointed. The white sauce made this recipe AMAZING!! I substitued sour cream for the yogurt and i can't say enough. Since I'm not a beer drinker I took from my memory that people enjoy Heineken so i used that brand. I thoroughly enjoyed this as a light, although filing, dinner during the week. I also whipped up a quick batch of guac, pico di gallo, and served with tortilla chips and cocktails LOVE!

This was a wonderful dish. I did add salt and pepper to the fish before putting it into the batter. The sauce was wonderful although I was out of capers and did not use it. I served this with fresh Pico de Gallo (from this site), Spanish rice, Creme Fraiche and guacamole. I had to cut down the hot spices because of my husband's preference. He really enjoyed. It reminded us both of the fish tacos we get in Cancun! I will make this again.

These were excellent, however, I used fish sticks as a shortcut and mixed a little taco sauce into the white sauce recipe along with some chopped fresh oregano and some cumin. Will definitely make these again.

This was very good, we really enjoyed it. I used ginger ale instead of beer since I didn't have any sitting around that I felt like sacrificing.
