8 ounces mixed salad greens
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
8 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
2 tart green apples, cored and diced
1/2 (8 ounce) bottle raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing
This salad is fantastic!! I always use spring mix as the bitter lettuce goes well with the orange essence dried cranberries I add as well. You have to be sure to toast the walnuts as it really enhances the flavor. I usually only use ~1/3 cup. Usually I leave the skin on the apple and always put the chopped pieces in a bowl with diluted lemon juice to keep from turning brown. Be sure to dry off apples before adding to salad. Newman's Own Light Raspberry Walnut Vinagrette is a must!!
This salad was ok. Not a recipe I will keep but an alternative to a combination salad. Needed more zip.

Great combination of flavors with the apple, cheese and walnuts-easy too!
Just like they serve in expensive restaurants -- for a fraction of the price. Very delicious!
Fantastic salad! We ate it up. Will definately make again.
Great salad. However, there was too much cheese and apples for the amount of lettuce. Next time I will either double the amount of lettuce - or cut the cheese and apple amounts in half.
Excellent salad, very quick and easy. Gourmet-like.
great recipe. i doubled the lettuce, used 1 and 1/2 chopped apples and only 4 oz of gorgonzola cheese. it turned out yummy.
