Directions

  1. Place cucumber slices between 2 paper towels set in a colander. Allow liquid to drain, about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion salt, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  4. Divide cucumber slices over half of the bread slices; sprinkle lemon pepper on cucumber.
  5. Stack the other half of the bread slices with spread sides down over the cucumber slices to make sandwiches.

  • Cook's Notes:
  • To make these the night before, cover with SLIGHTLY damp paper towels, then cover with foil. Keep in fridge.
  • To make as appetizers, cut bread slices into rounds with a cookie cutter. Spread with cream cheese mixture and top each with a cucumber slice. Yields approximately 48 rounds.

Great spread. I actually combined this recipe with another. I used the spread to put on a toasted pita, then added cucumers and bacon. It was awsome!

Having never tried these before, I thought they were pretty good, if not a little bland. Next time I will definitely be adding dill!!!

I altered a bit but this was a great starting recipe. I mixed worcestershire, fresh lemon juice, garlic salt, black pepper, and cream cheese for the spread. Added fresh mint on each cucumber slice for a light fresh taste.

This was my first time making cucumber sandwiches, and it was good. When I make this again, I'll either lessen the mayonnaise or omit it entirely. I like mayo, but it didn't seem to fit with the other flavors (I was using honey oat bread with this). It's a nice, refreshing sandwich that I'll keep making!

Very refreshing and a treat to the tastebuds. I used on wheat bread and ate as a lunch time sandwich. I literally crave these sandwiches!
