I read some where that when baking soda is used there must be either lamon juice or curd and generally for baking cake baking powder is used which acts with hot liquid. yeast is generally used for bread making where the smell is not an issue. yeast, baking soda and baking powder has the same function of creating carban dioxide in the dau to expand it during cooking operation. Can you throw some light on this?

The cake could have been better if butter used instead of oil but the colour would be very beautiful because of brown sugar and dates.The cake comes out okay
