Easy to Remember Pie Crust

"This is not a recipe I would recommend to a novice baker. But if you know how to make a pie crust, it is super easy to remember! Half as much shortening as flour, and half as much cold water as shortening!"

Original Recipe Yield 1 single crust
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Directions

  1. Place flour in a medium bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water and mix just until dough comes together. Allow to rest in refrigerator before rolling out.
