Very good salsa. I had homemade not to long ago and decided it was WAY better than in the stores, so I looked for a recipe to make it myself. I also found it to be runny, but I used fresh tomatoes (and probably not the most quality), and I'm pretty new to cooking. Nevertheless, it tasted delicious! I roasted 2 jalapenos and added those, as well as an extra clove of garlic. My boyfriend is his brothers all love it, so this is a keeper!! =]

Delicious! I made a few modifications, and it came out perfect. I used 1 can of stewed tomatoes, 1 can of Rotel Mexican Lime & Cilantro blend, and 1 vine ripe tomato. Then instead of green chiles, I used about a tablespoon of chopped jarred jalapeno peppers. I'm also certain more garlic and cilantro than the recipe calls for made into my salsa! Tastes just like my favorite Mexican restaurant!

This is awesome! I did not use a food processor, just chopped the onion and left the tomatoes chunky. I also added a whole jalapeno- seeds and all. My kids loved it!

I like my salsa spicy so I followed all the step but added 2 serrano pepper and about 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.

I love this recipe! I've made it twice now, and the only change I made the second time was to add just about a tablespoon of diced jalapenos. It was great as written, but I wanted to make it just a little more spicy. I was surprised it doesn't taste like canned tomatoes at all. This is fairly simple to make and tastes MUCH better than the jarred salsa from the store. I will be making this often!

Love this salsa! I was nervous about using the canned stewed tomatoes b/c I have always used fresh but it turned out wonderful! I used Hunts tomatoes bc someone said store brand didn't turn out as well. I did follow some other users advice and added a jalepeno, garlic and only put it in the food processor for a few seconds. Sooooo yummy! I also drained the tomatoes. **I've made this a few times now. Last time I used diced tomatoes instead of the stewed and it was very very bland. Ended up throwing half of it away. Use the stewed tomatoes and you won't be dissapointed!**

After reading other comments I used fresh Roma tomatoes. The first batch I made was a little mild. It was good but you could tell something was missing. The second batch I made two days later, I roasted some jalapenos and cut up before blending. That was it!
