"This is my all time favorite... I serve it with mash potatoes and green beans. the sauce makes an excellent 'gravy' for the potatoes. When I don't have deer meat, I use London broil."

1 1/2 pounds
venison (deer meat)
fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (6 ounce) can
This is a great meal. The taste is very well and not wild at all. I added not enough sour cream and the taste was a bit strong on the tomato but that was my fault. Make sure you keep the tomato and sour cream in proportion. My 5 year old ate 3 helpings.
This recipe sounded really good but my husband and I didn't like it at all. Since we have so much deer meat, we sure had high hopes but the tomato/sour cream sauce just tasted odd to us.
this receipe beats my moms
This was a good one. I love deer, yet this was lacking just a little something for me. Everyone else in the house liked it though.
This was a huge hit with my family. It was both quick and easy and a nice centerpiece for a meal!
I did the rescipe a lil dif, Only used 8 oz of sour cream, I use a teasppon of ground mustusted, 1 and half cloves of garlic, teaspoon of parsley, 1 onion, 2 cups of mushrooms everything else about the same. I also used Ground Cubed for this recipe, This turned out great for me, Wasn't wild and not to blan. I enjoyed playing with it.
You never said what cut of meat ( ground, cubed, or roast ) !!! I suggest that if it is not ground you remove all traces of fat!!! It will improve the flavor. I was not impressed with this recipe...left something to be desired.
The sauce was so bland, thick and pink. Very unappetizing.
