Directions

  1. WHISK together evaporated milk and egg yolks in medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is very hot and thickens slightly; do not boil. Place chunks in food processor fitted with metal blade. With processor running, slowly pour milk mixture into chocolate. Process 10 to 20 seconds. Scrape down sides and continue processing until smooth.
  2. POUR into crust; refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm. Top with sweetened whipped cream before serving; sprinkle with nuts.

This pie is delicious! The filling is very rich and fudgy, and it definately has a satin texture! It is so easy to make;I have used it as a base in some of my other prize-winning creations. If you don't have a food processor, just put the chocolate in a bowl, pour the hot milk mixture over it, and whisk it up until all the chocolate has melted.

this pie tasted like A solid milk chocolate chocolate pie, not like a satin pie. If you are thinking of trying this just put a bunch of chocolate chips in a pie pan and dig in.

This was great!!!! The only problem I had was it wouldn't stiffin any in the frig so I put it in the freezer and then tried it in the frig but it melted! I kept it in the freezer and it tasted great but it wasn't exactly a pie texture. I will be making this again! Thanks
