This was a great base recipe to work with. I never made Chili before, and I loved the simplicity of ingredients used. The only changes that I made were to use an entire onion, instead of 1/2 onion. So I wouldn't have any waste, I used one 15 oz can of tomato sauce and one 16 oz jar of salsa...it's not the exact measurements the recipe used, but I figured salsa has a little bit more flavor due the different seasonings and peppers used than tomato sauce and it was great. I used one 1.25 oz packet of chili seasonings which is approx 4 tablespoons. I seasoned my meat and onions with a little seasoning salt and garlic salt...careful to not over season...drained my beef..and mixed everything in the crockpot and set it on low for 8 hrs.
