Absolutely wonderful! Finicky Hubby LOVED it!! He said that it was my best recipe. Will definitely make again. Didn't tweak it much - added cubed small red potatoes and broccoli, cauliflower, carrots.

Love this classic, perfect, comfort food. To cut down on some of the fat, I've used solely roasted turkey breast and have put a crust only on the top and it's still delicious.

I've made this twice since Thanksgiving. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. It was VERY good. A bit dry. The second time I made it, I used chicken and 2 cans of veg-all since this was an after work rush dinner and didn't want to take the time to cut the veggies. I also doubled the gravy and reserved half and served it on the side. I think the chicken was prefered in my house over the turkey but it may be personal taste.

AMAZING! I followed to the letter, except I added 1 cup diced potatoes instead of 1 cup mixed veges. I used all frozen mixed veges instead of the green beans separate. I also added chopped garlic. This will make it into my treasured family recipes. Thank you!

Very good. Added potatoes, because I always put potatoes in my chicken pot pies. (Used chicken instead of turkey.) Made 2 pies, with only top crust. Was out of a few of the seasonings, so added some lemon pepper seasoning, and basil. Both pies overflowed and created quite a mess in the oven, so next time I won't make them quite so full.

We loved this recipe!! I have been looking for a pot pie recipe like this with wonderful flavor and just the perfect creaminess. As another reviewer mentioned, using a roasted deli chicken would be great too. Thank you for sharing

Kudos to Dad!! This was so tasty, warm and filling for a frosty Fall eve. I was only going to make one pie, but found I had the perfect amt of turkey for two. I used one pkg(16 Oz) frozen mixed veggies that had peas, corn, carrots and green beans....came out to the 4c called for. The filling had enough body to it, not too thick nor runny. (someone suggested a Can of soup substitute....No Way!) I omitted the celery seed, had none, and used one beryl Lg onion. My hubby and I agreed it was the Best either of us has ever had, and we both are pretty good cooks. Yes, I "cheated" and used the Pillsbury refrigerated crusts....so much easier. This one ended my search for The Perfect Turkey Pot Pie.....this is IT! Thank you Dad and Allrecipes! Love this site!!
