Delicious! I used cheap water-packed canned tuna, cheap salad dressing(I HATE salad dressing), cheap pickle relish... all Aldi bought ingredients, actually. And it was great. The only thing I changed was the amount of cheese (I used half), I sprinkled it LIGHTLY with pepper and served it with a side of sliced tomatoes. It had great texture, taste and CRUNCH! MmmmmMMmmm!

4 stars, 5 with my modifications. I added 1/2 tsp. dry, 1T chopped fresh basil, and didn't add the cheese. I did use the eggs, Salade Nicoise combines tuna and eggs and it's yummy! Anyhow, made the tuna salad the night before so the flavor could meld a bit. Split and seeded the cucumbers and put them in a baggie. Took it all to work and shared with friends. Served it with cheese sprinkled on top. I"ll make this again!

Not very appetizing at all for me. For all of the strong flavors in it -- the onion, the tuna, and the cheddar, it was almost bland. The sweet relish and the lemon juice stood out in a bad way, and I was left with a fishy/canned aftertaste that ruined the garden-fresh cucumbers I had. I also had a big issue with the texture, the cucumber had so much crunch but since I couldn't taste it over the filling, it seemed to me like I was eating extra crunchy tuna salad. It threw the whole dish off. It is a quick and easy dish, which I am sure some people will like, but I am not one of them.

This was pretty yummy! Although I made a lot of changes, my idea came from this recipe : ) I just took a cucumber hollowed the seeds out and filled it with tuna the way I normally make for sandwiches (tuna, mayo, shredded cheese, and a bit of black pepper). I must say I wouldnt go buy a cucumber for this purpose (maybe Im not a cucumber lover :P ) but for the one I had and had to use this was a super idea!

Not a bad tuna salad. I did eliminate the onions and the eggs. I just can't picture a tuna salad being good with eggs, but that's probably just me. I did add some dried parsley. Bf asked for the chicken cucumber boats, but I didn't feel the chicken salad, so I tried this one. I like it better than the other. Thanks!

These were ok for a light, healthy dinner. All the crunch felt really good and I'm sure I got a lot of vitamins in. I'm not sure about the tuna salad though, I had to doctor the taste with more lemon juice and a bit of dried parsley to actually like it. I'm sure it was partly the fault of the tuna I chose, it wasn't as high quality as I would have liked, and the salad dressing was a bit funny, too. With different brands it might come out a lot better. I thought adding cream cheese instead of the dressing / mayo would have made it tastier. I might make this again in the summer or when I crave the crunch. It was surprisingly filling, too!

This is fantastic! I tried it last night. I used an English cucumber which didnt have much seeds so i think next time i would chop large pieces of the cucumber and just mix it in, and eat it as a salad, though the boats is a great presentation and make it a good finger food. With a regular cucumber i would definitaly do the boat idea. Would also be good on a sandwich with just sliced cucumber. Anyway, a great overall recipe!
