This was a very tasty sandwich! However, I did not include the water chestnuts and the lettuce because I didn't have those in my kitchen. But I did have some avacado and it paired very good with the tuna sandwich.

This was certainly different than your usual tuna salad. I was intrigued by this because I love tuna salad and I love water chestnuts. I followed the recipe exctly except for subbing fresh cilantro for the parsley- it's what I had on hand. I did enjoy the crunch of the water chestnuts, but I felt there were too many for my taste- it seemed all water chestnut and not much tuna. If I made again, I would use about half the can. Also, it was a bit bland for my taste. I would definitely spice it up a little more. Thanks for sharing!

A friend of mine uses this recipe and loves it! I had to try. I used a pint of tuna and 2 sm cans of chestnuts (I cut the nuts into very small pieces). I will def make again. Really good on crackers.

I omitted the parsley, and used half a can of water chestnuts. It was ok for a change but I won't be making them again. Thanks.
