Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl combine cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture and mix to combine. Stir in the crisp rice cereal, chocolate chips and raisins.
  4. Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 to 15 minutes.

This is a nice twist on an old classic. I left out the raisins and used a touch less flour...

Werent my favorite. My children liked them and my husband at them. But the texture was odd to me.

This is an interesting recipe, but be forewarned...DO NOT USE puffed rice! Only use crisp...
