I can't pass these up. Did add 1 cup unsweetened applesauce and bake for 35 mins. Delicious with the change.

I used 1/2 cup of margarine based on the first reviewer comment. The 1/4 cup is just not enough to make the ingredients hold together. I also used fresh cranberries which I sweetened with a few tablespoons of sugar before folding in. This turned into a very tasty batter that is now baking. I can't wait to sample the finished product!!

Hmmm.... pretty dry. "Batter" did not make 18 bars, that's for sure. Baking time as stated would have been far too long. Mine were done in 26 minutes.
