Great Valentines Day treat. I doubled the recipe (1/2 dark chocolate + 1/2 semi-sweet) and divided the chocolate mix into thirds. In one batch I used raisins & crispy rice cereal. In another I added dried cranberries and semi-sweet coconut and in the last batch I used dried cranberries and crushed toasted almonds. I dropped each into a muffin paper to help each from sticking to one another. Tip: store them in the frig and take out a minute or two before eating. Very addicting and very very good!

So quick and easy! Used semi-sweet chocolate chips but that is just a preference. I did not have any nuts on hand and still wanted a bit of a crunch to the treats so I added 1/2 cup semi-crushed up bran flakes along with the raisins. Fantastic!! Goodbye store bought chocolate covered raisins forever!

These candies were quick and easy even with my six year old niece helping out. They set up fairly quickly and must be stored in the refrigerator. Once taken out, they are quite "melty" to put in in my niece's terms. We toasted our almonds before including in the candy. Yummy flavor. We also did these using coconut and raisins.
