When I first developed this version of hot chocolate, my husband was quite skeptical. But after one taste, his doubts were erased. In fact, he was the one who suggested I send it to Country. It really hits the spot on a chilly morning, especially when served with cinnamon rolls or doughnuts.

This has to be one of my favorite recipes because it can be made in a flash, yet it's full of flavor. I think the honey adds just the right amount of sweetness. Everyone will love it...not just banana lovers!

WHEN MONEY was short and times were tough, my mother still made this treat for us. We thought it was happiness in a glass. I recall running home from school, hoping to find this delicious drink ready for me. I made it often for my own children, and I still mix it up today...but now I like to call it nostalgia in a glass. -Jeanne Brown, Buffalo, New York

Melted marshmallows provide the frothy texture that you'll savor in this sweet and speedy warm beverage. They're also what makes this hot chocolate different from (and better than) the instant kind you make from a store-bought mix.

'MAMA used Texas Longhorn cheese in this recipe. When the cheese melted, it covered all the macaroni. I loved to dig in and see how many strings of cheese would follow my spoonful.'

Moist and tender with a delightful frosting, this cake is one I've made time and again after finding the recipe in an old community cookbook. It's perfect for a family dinner, picnic or potluck.
