Cocktail Meatballs Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 4)

The cocktail meatballs tasted more like regular spaghetti and meatballs. The cranberry sauce flavor was lost among the heavy chili sauce. My family said they liked these, but asked if I would make some spaghetti so they can have it with the meatballs for tomorrow's dinner. I will make the old stand by with grape jelly the next time. I enjoyed making my own meatballs instead of using the frozen kind.

DELICIOUS!! Didn't change a thing except doubled recipe. Got rave reviews, sauce is very tasty and lots of raised eyebrows when I would tell them what the sauce was made out of. I made my own meatballs. will most definitely make again. Thank you Lara for a wonderful recipe.. it is a KEEPER!!

This recipe was awesome. For the chili sauce I used Franks RedHot Original. Everyone raved about them.

Ridiculously good! Just enough spice, and very tasty. I made them for a NYE party and was nervous when I tasted the sauce before it simmered in the crock pot because it tasted kind of funny, but it was great after it cooked with the meatballs. I used ground turkey, and since it came as 1.25 pounds I just upped all the other ingredients a little, which was good because I was able to use the whole can of jellied cranberry.

They were great! Thought the recipe was wierd but needed something I could make ahead of time and freeze. They were perfect. I made them, put them in a ziplock and froze them and thawed right before serving. Will be making them again. OH, and I made my own meatballs with onion soup mix added to the meatballs instead of real onion. They were wonderful.

I used Thai sweet chili sauce in place of the regular chili sauce and omitted the brown sugar and these were amazing! I doubled the recipe and used i package of onion soup instead of the minced onion. These were the BEST cocktail meatballs ever!

These meatballs were a big hit at a recent Christmas Party that we attended. It's a quick and easy recipe to make, which I love. I was pleasantly surprised at how many meatballs, 1 lb of ground beef made up. I just had a couple left over and heated them up with mashed potatoes the following day. Yummy!!

My family absolutely loved this recipe; even my younger brother who is extremely picky could not stop eating these! I browned the meatballs in the oven for the recommended time and then finished cooking them in the sauce in my dutch oven on the stove. These meatballs get cold quickly, so if you are serving these for a party it would be helpful to keep them warm in the sauce until just before serving. I was able to make about 20 small meatballs with this recipe, and had no leftovers!
