Used spice rum. Used regular Merlot because I could not find a decent black berry merlot. So I added some frozen black berries. Used 1 each of red apple, green apple, lime, orange, and a lemon. Many of us like it strong so we didn't need soda, but others felt the need to add soda. All were satisfied.

A good place to start, but could be improved.

When they are in season, make this sangria with blood oranges and fresh squeezed blood orange juice. Incredible.

I made this for Christmas and my family loved it. I used a cheap merlot and Captain Morgan passion fruit which made it so good and I also added cherries and mangos. Can't wait to make it again.

Great sangria recipe it never disappoints and people are always raving about it. I like using a merlot for this and Barefoot Merlot really makes this pop!

This was great, it was my first time making Sangria, I substituted brandy for the rum. Everyone loved it, including my friend who makes it all the time. I think the best thing is that it has very few ingredients so you taste the wine and brandy (it's also quick and easy to make) I mixed the fruit and wine together the night before, then mixed everything together in the morning so all the flavours melded.

I used blackberry merlot (cheap but tastes sooo good!) and spiced rum along with all the other ingredients this calls for. I made 5 batches of it for my housewarming party and it was such a hit! Will DEFINITELY make this amazing Sangria again!

Wonderful! I used way too many fruits in my first batch, but the flavor was great and it is so easy to make.
