Cinnamon Pretzels

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease 2 baking sheets.
  2. Stir milk and honey together in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Sift flour and baking soda together in a large bowl; mix milk-honey mixture into flour mixture until dough is soft. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for about 3 minutes. Roll dough using a rolling pin into a rectangle about 1/2-inch thick; cut into 24 equal pieces.
  4. Roll each piece of dough into a l0-inch cylinder; fold ends together into a pretzel-shape. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup cinnamon in a bowl; sprinkle over pretzels. Arrange coated pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until pretzels are golden brown, about 8 minutes.
  6. Mix melted butter with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup cinnamon; brush warm pretzels with butter mixture.

These were fantastic! Nothing to complain about

I really wanted to love these, but I didn't. The dough was a decent texture, but it really had almost no flavor to me. Was just dough topped with cinnamon sugar. The dough itself needs some flavor. like cinnamon or nutmeg.. chocolate chips.. something. Ill try these again, with some tweaks

OMG! These are amaising my whole family loved them! It is a long process rolling them all out but it's definitely worth it.

This is a great recipe for non-bakers. I specifically chose it because it was simple and didn't require a ton of prep time. The dough came together well and the pretzels were great, I did season the dough, with cinnamon, salt, allspice and tumeric, based on another review. I also used powered sugar, rather than regular sugar to turn the topping into more of a glaze. I'll definitely make these again.
