Like another reviewer suggested, I cut the oil to 1 cup and it still turned out fantastic! I topped it with Hershey's chocolate icing (recipe on their baking cocoa canister.) Next time, I think I'll ice with buttercream or peanut buttercream. Thank you for this recipe!

This is a wonderful cake. It doesn't even need frosting its so good. I also used 1/2 applesauce and 1/2 oil. I had some butterscotch chips on hand so added 3/4 cup. Sweeter yet but really good.

This was a big hit with my family. They were hesitant because of the zucchini, but ended up loving it. I substituted half of the zucchini with yellow summer squash. The cake was moist and fudgy.

This is such a good recipe! The cake was moist, chocolatey and delicious. I might try to sub some of the oil with applesauce next time, but over all - excellent!

I subbed half the oil for applesauce and chocolate chips for the walnuts. SUPER MOIST! Will definitely be making this again!

I love this recipe for Chocolate zucchini cake because it is dairy free My grandson cannot have dairy and it is always hard to find a recipe that doesn't have some amount of butter or sugar. It was moist and rich. We made it together and we will make it again!! Thanks!
