Chocolate Eclair Dessert Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 9)

I made this the other night and sent half of it to my Husband's work. They raved about it (not that a whole bunch of guys are hard to please). I kept half at home and am trying my best to ration my portions so I don't consume so many calories. It is pretty good, and the best part is it is easy to make! The only problem I had is I used 3 whole packages of graham crackers and still ran out before I was finished with the top layer. You definitely need 3 for the size dish that you are supposed to use. I got it worked out though and will defnitely be making again when I need to bring a dish to a party. Also, I used 2 boxes of white chocolate pudding. It was awesome...I might try another flavor next time to see how that turns out.

Did not like at all. Just tasted like vanilla pudding with a bit of chocolate frosting on top. Not reminiscent of an eclair

This is the simpliest, most tastiest dessert I've ever made!!! Everyone raved about this at our party today. I've had to copy the recipe for 3 people. I was unable to make it the night before so I did take the advice of others and dunked my graham crackers in milk before lining my pan with them. Worked out perfectly! I do have to say though that just two packages of graham crackers does not make it. I used nearly 3 in my 9x13 pan. I'm so glad I had a whole box of them. Thanks for this recipe! It's definitely a keeper for me.

Its definitely better the next day! Very easy. Everyone really liked it. The second time I made it I added some 6 oz of cream cheese to the filling and I thought it tasted better. If you do this soften the cream cheese then mix in the milk, then add the pudding. I also made my own whipped cream -1c heavy whipping cream (whip 1 minute first then add sugar and vanilla), 1/4 c powder sugar & 1 t vanilla.

Taste just like an eclair. Needs more pudding mix if you are going to keep this a 9 x 13 size pan. Setting the completed mix in the freezer for a few minutes to harden it might make it more serve-able and easier to present on a plate. There is nothing fancy to this recipe, however it is tasty. Plain but gets the job done. ***2nd day review*** My initial tasting of this dish was very blah. However, after it sat and absorbed the flavors in the fridge over night it was WAY better. It set up firm and was easier to slice (like a cake). Superb! My husband can't get enough of it.

I've been making this since I was 14. It's also very eye catching if you put it in a clear dish. I also found it's easier and evenly if you microwave the icing until it's liquid and pour it across the top. Just don't leave the lid on when you microwave it, my friend made that mistake.
