Original Recipe Yield 1 -9 inch pie
 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Directions

  1. Blend together butter or margarine, eggs, cocoa, sugar, milk, and vanilla with a hand mixer until smooth. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
  2. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 45 minutes, or until set. Let cool before slicing.
