Awesome recipe!! Doubled the recipe, I substituded Cocoa Krispies with Gluten Free Rice Krispies and added Pure Vanilla Extract to the Caramel Sauce. Easy to make!

Mostly rice krispies, could hardly taste the caramel or the nuts. The chocolate topping also cracked when trying to cut into squares. Would never make this again.

I made these squares for a holiday cookie exchange. They are delicious! Rich, textured, and amazing! The caramel is so wonderful in this recipe! I made only one change. I melted 3 cups of chocolate chips to cover the whole pan. It is kind of tricky when you go to spread the chocolate over the pecans. I recommend dumping it in one giant lump in the middle and then spreading to the corners from there. Also, I chopped my pecans. Will definitely make this again!

This is a yummy recipe, but I had to make changes. First, I didn't have Cocoa krispies so I melted some semi-sweet chocolate chips into the corn syrup/sugar mix just before adding the regular krispies. Second, the caramel mix was a complete FLOP!! The butter and sugar never came together. So I substituted w/ a 16oz tub of candy apple caramel. I heated the tub of caramel in a pot of water (I don't have a microwave) and then spread over the krispies. Note: I was in a bit of a hurry so I put the pan in the freezer to get the caramel and chocolate to set up. But the whole thing is yummy, gooey, goodness.

The caramel part of this recipe definitely didn't work. So I had to make the caramel a different way. But in the end everything else was okay and the squares were enjoyed by all.
