These were easy and quick to prepare and delicious to eat. This time around, I chose to use ground turkey and cut the recipe in half to make 2 whole "stacks". This was more than enough to serve 5 of us for dinner. We cut these into wedges and served with sour cream and salsa.
Super quick and easy and very tasty. I was weary of mixing everything up in the man and heating, but it turned out really yummy. I did make homemade salsa which I think gave it a little something extra but other than that did exactly as the recipe stated and topped with sour cream. Perfect week night recipe.
This turned out very nice. I added a little onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt and oregano to the meat as I cooked it. I used On the Border brand salsa and store brand tostadas instead. They are a lot easier to work with since they are crispy. Even my husband liked this.
I am unsure of why the recipe header says its a light dinner? Even though very good all that cheese, beans and meat was pretty filling and heavy for us! I used the 4 tortillas on the bottom, but only 2 on top and there was still A LOT of tortilla ratio to other stuff. I even had lots of toppers: lettuce, tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, green onions, sour cream and extra salsa (which I made myself). Though my picture is not as appealing as the other 2 it was pretty good stuff and every one ate it up! Next time we will just go lighter on the tortilla's.
Used whole wheat flour tortillas, but followed rest of recipe. Would make again.
Loved these. I was a little concerned about the texture of the tortillas after cooking. They turned out great and the texture worked. The flavor was yummy. I did add some random spiced to my meat while cooking...cumin, chili powder, onion powder. Wish i would have had sour cream and maybe some quac to serve with this.
Very good and not neccessary to stack, we made them more like a tostada. Adding avocado would be a good idea next time.
