Loved it! I tripled wine and sherry, used 1 lb of mushrooms and added the remaining flour mixture to sauce to thicken it. Ended up being delicious.

I'm a pretty decent cook but even my regular audience was blown away by this offering. I changed it slightly, adding garlic and onions to the oil and butter. After they'd given everything I removed them with a slotted spoon and added fresh garlic slices when the chicken when back in to pan. I also tightened the sauce up a bit with a little cornstarch slurry. Cannot recommend this highly enough. I've used AllRecipes for years but this recipe is the one that made me create an account so I'd never lose dish.

Great dinner! Wish some fresh steamed veggies, some buttermilk biscuits this was great! Only thing I did differently was cooked up some rice using chicken broth instead of water and put the chicken over the bed of rice when serving it up.. Household loved it.

I've got VERY picky eaters, and am kind of a wine snob, so I didn't think it would work (I could only fine Marsala at the grocery store - ack! - but it was DELICIOUS! They were licking the bottom of the pan :) I had to adjust a little based on what I had on hand, and even imperfectly it was good - next time I'm going to stick to the recipe and I'm sure it will be even better! I didn't have mushrooms, and as another reviewer mentioned, I browned the chicken in the pan (I only had thighs not breasts), then transferred to a baking dish to finish at 375 for 15 min. I had to use merlot instead of sherry, would have been better with sherry! I tripled the sauce...for a family pack of boneless thighs, fed my 5 big eaters just fine.

Made it last night, used the suggestions on reviews...very bland...chic was good sauce awful...used just Marsala wine, no sherry, added a little half and half like review...will never make again
