This was the first time that I've ever made chicken and dumplings before, and this was a wonderful recipe to start with! I made a few changes to the recipe that I think made it even better, hence the reason I rated it only four stars instead of five. I doubled the cream of chicken, chicken broth, and milk so there would be more broth. I also added 1/2 cup of carrots to the veggies, and I seasoned the vegetables and chicken with a garlic and herb seasoning while I cooked them in skillet. I also added some rosemary and basil to the broth after adding the chicken and veggies. While making the dumplings, I followed what one of the reviewers said and made sure the dough was wet and sticky before dropping it in the broth. They came out nice and fluffy, although they had a weird flavor, which I recognized as the olive oil that I used in the dough. Next time I am going to use vegetable oil instead. I will also cut the chicken into smaller pieces, as I would've preferred smaller chunks in the broth. All in all, the end result was delicious and I will definitely be making this recipe again! A great dinner for a cold winter evening!!!
