When I first read the recipe, it sounded so good to me. I absolutely love ricotta cheese and thought that it would be a great addition to the alfredo sauce. I followed the recipe exactly, only added some garlic with the chicken. But I could not get the sauce smooth and creamy like an alfredo sauce should be. The sauce had an okay flavor even if it was a bit bland. But when I put it mouth, it felt like someone had poured sand into the sauce when I wasn't looking. I had tons of leftovers, but couldn't even bring myself to eat them because of the texture. For me, the texture was a deal breaker. Alfredo should be smooth and silky, not gritty.
