Very good cookie , but needed some tweaks as other reviewers have mentioned. I used 1 c unsalted butter so I did need to use 1/2 tsp salt, increased baking soda to 1 tsp, increased flour to 1 3/4 c whole wheat flour. I creamed butter and sugar until good and fluffy then added eggs and vanilla, then flour, salt, and baking soda. Oats 3 c, walnuts 1 c and chocolate chips 3/4 c, can be folded in or mixed on low briefly. I also added 3/4 c craisins because my family loves them. I refrigerated the dough for 30 min and baked at 335 for 12 min. This produced a nice lofty soft cookie. I have made the above revised version of this recipe many times with great success. The only problem is that the cookies disappear too quick. :-)
