Original Recipe Yield 1 - 9 inch pie
 

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and butter or margarine.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, and mix well.
  3. Add cream and vanilla to this mixture, and blend well.
  4. Pour mixture into 9 inch pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, or until set and brown on top.
