Great gelatin salad, Deborah. The flavors work together so well. I just whipped it up to go with the ham at our Easter dinner. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for this recipe! It was a hit at my Thanksgiving dinner. I did not use the sugar & did use Craisins instead of fresh cranberries. We are having another Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner with a family member that was out of state until this week & I was requested to bring this dish again!

Made this for Thanksgiving and for a church get together. Everyone raved about it. My husband, who is not fond of gelatin salads nor cranberries, thinks this is the best one he has ever eaten. The only change I made for Thanksgiving was substituting sugar free cherry gelatin and a mixture of half cup spoonable Splenda and half cup of sugar for the sugar as I was making it for someone who is diabetic. I also used crushed pineapple in its own juice.;

Very similar to my Mom's. Used Splenda instead of sugar and sugar free jello, and pecans. Really good.

I found this recipe here about 3 years ago. I came here looking for an inexpensive substitute for the $4 a pound salad I used to get at a large chain grocery store. While I loved that store bought salad, it seemed a bit pricey. This was just what I was looking for. I've made this dish many times. I usually make it exactly as written. I've also made it with pecans instead of walnuts and it was just as fabulous. It has become an expected holiday dish in my family. In fact, I've already purchased the ingredients to make it for Thanksgiving this year. Not only is it delicious, but it also looks very festive on my holiday table. Thank you so much, Deborah!

This came out really well and got rave reviews! I added chopped up dried cherries in it and left out the apple. Thanks!

This is the same recipe that has been in my family for well over 50 years. Would not be Thanksgiving or Christmas without it and it is not made at any other time.

I am not crazy about cranberries. But everyone else in my family likes them. So I thought I'd try this recipe. It was easy, and yes, everyone liked it. I would definitely make this again.
