(12x18-inches each) Reynolds Wrap® Non-Stick Foil
boneless beef sirloin steak, 1/2 inch thick
Salt and pepper
onions, thinly sliced
shredded Cheddar cheese
sub or hoagie-style buns
Ketchup or steak sauce
This is SO much better, faster & easier by using a good deli sliced roast beef instead of beef sirloin; Following the remainder of the recipe, only cutting the cooking time in half. Yum.
These are awesome and so incredibly easy to prepare! Regular old aluminum foil is fine. The cheese melts so will need to add some more. We each chose different cheeses for our pack...provel, american, baby Swiss. Add some extra seasoning to the steak...a bit bland. Also prepared some au jus from one of those packets for dipping! Yummy. Served with grapes and rice.
This was a great prepare ahead of time meal for a busy night so all I had to do was throw it in the oven after a night of ball games and 15 minutes later, dinner was done and the whole family loved it. Added sliced mushrooms and some extra spices for a personal touch.
Yumm! We replaced the onion with onion powder (we like the flavor but don't want the actual onion). So tender and juicy, and they smelled amazing!
I was looking for a recipe like this, largely for the ratios of what I know is something yummy.
Excellent! I've never been to Philly, but this was the best cheese steak I've had west of the Mississippi! I used hamburger, onions and green peppers. This meal could easily be prepared beforehand--it's great for a trip to the lake or a quick meal after work.
