  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add carrots and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and place in a 2 quart casserole dish. Stir in onion, butter, cream, salt, pepper and cheese; mix well. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes.

I had to make a few substitutions. Milk for cream, corn flakes for bread crumbs... my husband loved it! Thanks!

Sounds like the right idea! I always add a small amount of minced celery as well and a 1/2 tsp of ground mustard when I saute the onion and celery. I find it provides a more rounded taste. It is one of my family's favorite holiday dishes.

I had an over abundance of carrots from my garden, so I though I would try this recipe, oh wow this was great, I used milk instead of cream that was what I had and this is like scalloped potatoes only with carrots my family is beggig me to make this again a real keeper thankyou. I don't understand the bad reviews what not to like cheese good! carrots good!.yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was not a combination that my family enjoyed at all. My kids took one bite and said no way! Although my daughter did pick the cheese and eat it. I didn't even eat much more than a bite or 2. Cheese and Carrots just didn't do it for our family.

You VELVEETA only that makes the difference if its going to be good or not! Plus I use milk, cream is too heavy. My family loves it!

Family took one bit, said no way. My feelings were a little hurt until I tasted it. A waste of money to doubt.
