I was totally add-mit about making this recipe. But I set out a goal with my family...they have to try something new and different from our normal standards and totally get out of a rutt. Any way. I made this to a T. The one thing I wasn't sure because the recipe directions didn't state, is that I used the same pan I cooked the pork chops in. Using the butter to deglaze the pan and cooking the brown sugar and apples in it. So I'm assuming that's what I was suppose to do. Now following that. I was surprised that the apples didn't have that huge sweetness nor the overpowering flavors over the meat. Saying that. It was decent. Totally different and the apples were tasty, the way the turned out. My girls ate up all the apples with their pork chop, my hubby loved the pork chop and said the apples were ok, my son...well he actually hated the whole recipe. But that didn't surprise me none. Very picky eater. So I won't include him into this recipe rating. I think I knew this going in to this. But he did try it and that's what is important. The only thing I would change would be increasing the sauce factor. I actually didn't have much left at all to put on all, and had a load of excess apples. I also used boneless pork chops. Thanks. This was very good, different and very easy to make.
