"This is a mildly spicy, flavorful gravy you can pour over chicken, turkey or just plain mashed potatoes. It is very similar to a certain fast food chain's Cajun gravy." — April N.

2 (4.5 ounce) cans chopped green chilies
1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1 1/2 cups warm water, divided
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
I made this gravy for my spice loving husband. It was ok and something very different from the gravy we're used to having. But he did say if he had the choice, he would choose brown gravy or milk gravy over this.
It was pretty good. I was hoping for more of a chicken flavor than chili.
