This recipe is excellent but don't use coleslaw mix, the recipe calls for chopped cabbage and that is how it is best, probably 1/2 inch square. I would halve the butter but to be as close to the Hungarian version as is practical, use wide egg noodles. If you prefer the cabbage a bit softer, boil it for a few minutes before you saute it but saute it..... almost to a Golden color. And, before you change the listed spices, adding cheese, sausage, Kim Chi or God knows what else, simply try fresh cracked black pepper..... LOTS of it!!!! More than you would think would be prudent, appropriate or possible!!!! You won't be sorry that you did! ENJOY!!!!! I know that I did!!!
