Recipe produced a decent pudding but butterscotch flavor did not come through for me. It was good nonetheless. I liked the meringue topping and felt it added a unique touch to this classic dish.

I made this pudding using arborio rice. and whole milk. The flavor & consistency of the rice pudding is very good. However the meringue topping did not add anything. I would make the pudding again but would leave off the meringue.

Well worth the time and effort. Rich creamy, and just WOW!!! Even my picky 6 year old wouldn't stay out of it!

This is very yummy! I had leftover steamed basmati rice to use up, so I tried this recipe. Even without cooking the rice in the milk, it was great. It was hard to spread the eye white mixture, so I lost some "fluff". The topping was my husband's favorite part.
