Love this recipe! Nice tangy flavor. I baked it in cupcake pans instead of loaf pan and it turned out great. I wanted a recipe that was gluten free and I found it!
Recipes by Clorox? Whoda thunk? I have to say that although there was nothing wrong with this one, we didn't care for the texture that oatmeal imparts. It reminded me of school cafeteria meatloaf and that was not a good thing. I think I'll stick to a breadcrumb based meatloaf. :o)
This is the recipe I've used for 50 years. I do add a little garlic powder [ 1 tsp. or to taste ] and mushrooms. This is a great basic.
Its a great recipe the first time I made it I used 1 cup panko Italian seasoned breadcrumbs instead of the rolled oats and it was perfect. The whole family loved it!
My husband is EXTREMELY picky with meatloaf and he begged me to save this and make it again cuz he said it was best he had ever had! So easy, so cheap, and SOOOO delicious! I doubled the recipe and cooked it in a 13x9 pan instead and worked great.
This is a great recipe. My son had a fit when he found out we were having meatloaf. He actually gave his best effort to talk me out of it. Once he had a helping of the meatloaf...and another...and another, he thanked me for ignoring his "unfounded petition". Then he asked, "Do you think we can have meatloaf again tomorrow?" What a fun experience! Oh yeah, one more thing. I was out of oats AND breadcrumbs so I crushed up a bag of SEASONED croutons and used 1/2 cup of them those instead (finely crushed in a Nutri-bullet)and the meatloaf was flawless and seasoned well! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I made this for dinner last night and it was delicious! My husband loved it too and we both decided it was the best meat loaf we've had. I didn't have oats so I used bread crumbs instead which worked great. Will definitely be making this again and again!
Loved it. It just wasn't enough. Added 1/3 tsp of garlic powder...
