Great recipe and very easy to make. I added cinnamon and nutmeg also substituted the pecans for golden raisins. Will definitely make this again

Just wondering about the poster who said she added raisins and fed it to her dog. Is the dog still alive? Just a few raisins will kill a dog. Be careful.

Extremely rich. I used rum instead of whiskey. It made a huge dish that I ate for a week.

I only used the sauce recipe and it was great! I did add 1 tsp of vanilla, 1/4 tsp of salt and some cornstarch to the sauce. Yummy!

easy and delicious; i vary it by using cinnamon & challuh breads instead of the french breads, as these are thicker bread to retain moisture. Also, I add 2 more eggs to this recipe, and use about 1/4 more of milk for extra liquid. The whiskey sauce is great, although, you may have to decrease the whiskey to 1/3 cup for the sauce to thicken a bit more into a glazey-like consistency.

The bread pudding was excellent. I used 4 cups of milk but will use 3 1/2 cups next time. Also will cut whiskey sauce in half. Will definetly make again.

My family loves this. I use several more eggs, half and half (less milk), less sugar and Challah bread. No nuts for my hubby. So we like chocolate chips and chopped up dried apricots instead. The sauce was excellent too.
