Directions

  1. Place one pie crust in a baking dish. Combine spices with LUCKY LEAF Apple Pie Filling. Pour apple mixture into crust.
  2. Melt caramels and milk in microwave-safe bowl for about a minute, stirring twice. Pour melted caramels over the LUCKY LEAF Apple Pie Filling.
  3. Place pecans on top and cover with the second crust. Vent crust for baking. Brush top of pie crust with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar.
  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes.

This recipe is out of this world. I uses Pillsbury pie crust and followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. My husband and I ate the whole pie and he never eats sweets. I will be making this again for Thanksgiving!

I made this yesterday for my husband and I and it's already more than half gone! It was the EASIEST pie to make (of course, due to the canned pie filling) but it was soooo delicious I barely felt a smidge of guilt for not making it from scratch. I couldn't find the caramel squares at the store, so instead I substituted a small jar of caramel ice cream topping. Mixed with a teaspoon of milk and microwaved for 45 seconds (stopping to stir halfway through once) it turned out perfect. Probably more caramel than asked for, but soooooo ooey gooey and delicious! I will definitely make this again.

Fantastic! Out of pure laziness I used Caramel ice cream topping right out of the jar and it was perfect!

OMG!! I just made this pie tonight. It is delicious. I didn't think it would be so good, but it was easy to make and inexpensive. I will definately be making this again and sharing it with everyone. I followed the recipe exactly and there is no need to make any changes.

This pie was a hit at Thanksgiving!! Perfect seasoning, caramel added depth and pecans added a nice random crunch. This will be my new "go to" apple pie recipe.

Instead of sprinkling the crust with sugar, I used Pampered Chef Sweet Apple Sprinkle and MMMMMM!!! Amazing recipe!
