Rich, dense, sweet and chocolaty, this pie has it all, and is a snap to whip up. All the ingredients for the filling go into one bowl: eggs, butter, sugar, flour, semisweet chocolate and pecans. Then simply stir it up, pour it into the crust, and bake it.

The graham cracker crust for this pie is made with brown sugar and cinnamon, lending an extra depth of flavors to this tasty treat. The filling is a simple, but lovely egg custard with a hint of vanilla. Pour it into the shell and chill before serving. Decorate the pie with sprigs of mint and a sprinkling of nutmeg.

First, the crust is baked up flaky and tender. Then you make the filling by mixing the eggs, butter, brown sugar, flour, semisweet chocolate and walnuts. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and bake it. Top this dreamy pie with ice cream or whipped cream.

This very old recipe has a small amount of milk and a bit of flour stirred into the custard, so it bakes up more dense than a traditional custard. And the nutmeg adds a wonderful flavor to this heavier baked pie. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.

Aside from the when you have to scald the milk, everything else is a snap. This creamy pie cooks in 30 minutes and tastes like an old-fashioned custard pie.

Creamy, chocolaty and generous with the rum, this pie is worth the overnight wait to let it set. Egg yolks, cornstarch, milk and vanilla are cooked up, and half of this batter is mixed with chocolate for the bottom, and the other half is mixed with gelatin, rum and sweetened egg whites that is spooned on top.

If you love German chocolate cake, then you 'll love this pie. The rich chocolate filling is cooked first and then poured into a baked pie shell. The thick coconut and pecan frosting is spooned on, and then this luscious pie is chilled until ready to serve.
