This is a wonderful recipe, and was very easy to make. It was very good, and I will make again. Everyone should try this.

This pie is excellent! I made some modifications though as I do for all my recipes. I believe each recipe is a cooks way of expressing their artistic talent in cooking. What I did different is I put 8 oz cream cheese in and 2/3 cup whipping cream. I put in mostly raspberries and little bit of blackberries when crushed to make the sauce. (along w just under a cup of pineapple orange juice. The thing that took this over the top is I put in 1 teaspoon lemon extract and folded in 2 cups of blackberries. SOOOO good. I also paint the crust w melted choc. and put it in the fridge to set before adding anything. This is addition to all the rest of the ingred.

I made this with fresh black berries that my daughter and I picked in the woods. It was awsome. If you let the pineapple-orange juice mix cook a little longer, till it's really thick, it won't be runny at all. I used a short bread crust instead. I bought one already made, so it took alot of time off of my cooking. It tastes better with the berries then a pastry crust. It's crumbley and sweet, and is more like a cookie. I also used 3/4 a cup of pineapple juice and only 1/4 cup of orange juice. I bought the juices seperate so I could make my own mix. I recommend using real pineapple juice and real orange juice. no concentrate. After it was done cooling off I put redie-whip on top. Everyone loved it and wanted a second piece. I had to make 2 more today and there already gone. If you have a function, or holiday, or just regular dinner, I strongly suggest making this pie. It is absolutely, sinnfully, delicious!! It is really rich in taste and goes really great with a tall glass of milk. You will want to lick your plate!!

I have made this 3x in about 1 month. Blackberries and cheesecake- a wonderful combination. This pie was like a "party in my mouth". The citrus had a "Tanginess" but topped with some whipped cream, It was fantastic!! My advice: Add 2/3 cup whipping cream to the cream cheese/sugar mix. It was plenty sweet still. When cooking the powdered sugar/corn starch/juice- keep stirring over heat after it starts to thicken-about 15-20 seconds. You want a nice thick jell. My pie held together very well and all my co-workers liked it- a lot. You a can use just a berry juice if you don't like a tartness

I made this pie as a last resort because I couldn't find a better recipe that didn't include the pineapple/orange juice. It was a hit at the women's group I took it to. However, I was unhappy with the citrus taste that overpowered the pie just a little. I think it took away from the best part of the pie, the blackberries! I think I will use the same recipe next time but use a berry juice instead of the citrus juice that the recipe called for. I was pleased overall though!

We go blackberry picking at my dad's farm every summer. One year we didn't have quite enough to make blackberry jam, so I found this recipe instead and made it for my brother when he came home from Iraq. The juice adds just a hint of tanginess, but I served it with home-made whipped cream to add a little more sweetness. It tastes really good, it's just a little runny.

This pie is just OK. I can find much better uses for delicious and expensive blackberries.

Fruit pies are not usually my thing. I just don't really like having a mouth full of goo. But this was pretty good! The cream cheese-blackberry combination tastes great. The only change I would make is to maybe add lemon juice to the pineapple-orange sauce. Thanks!
