Though the amount of ingredients were right on, the directions are off. They said to bring the candy up to 285. You really need to cook it until 305, stirring constantly. I made 3 batches following the directions exactly, and the toffee always came out chalky. After reading other reviews I found if you cook it until 305, once cooled it will be perfect in color and will have just the right crunchieness:)
I also chose to use chopped pecans-next time I would like to try toasting the pecans to give a sweeter taste to them. This recipe is a keeper, but remember to change the temp! Thanks for sharing:) Yummy!!!
