I'm giving this recipe three stars because I really like the meringue, but the filling is too sweet. I make lemon custard instead (5 egg yolks, 1/2 lemon juice, and one can sweetened condensed milk). I usually make enough for a 9 inch pie pan and bump the serving count up to 10.

This is a nice pie and it's delicious! Nice going with a great Lemon Meringue Pie that your guests will love!!

This pie was disgusting. I know it says it serves 2, but they must be TINY servings. It was very time consuming, and when my 12 year old daughter sampled it, she said it tasted like "bug guts." My 15 year old son, who will eat almost anything, agreed with her! We ended up throwing it out.
