Best Chocolate Chippers

By: Tina Holcombe
"These are the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have ever made; and I have been testing different ingredients for a long time. I hope you love them as much as my guys do!!! I use a wooden spoon to mix these, as the texture seems to be so much better."

Original Recipe Yield 4 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oil, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
