This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I made a huge batch of these cookies for our university Halloween party and everybody raved about them! I made so much dough that I had to mix in all in a small barrel. Make sure you use good quality chocolate chips - it makes such a difference. I live in Switzerland and made them with Suprême Cailler Baking Chocolate, and I made them in the USA with Hershey's chocolate and the difference was unbelievable. I strongly recommend going easy on the sugar, too. I used a little over half the required amount and they were still plenty sweet. You can also try mixing all-purpose with whole-wheat flour, I did it on one of the batches and it was quite a success. These cookies last for a few days in the fridge, and they freeze well.
