I made this with homemade meatballs because the frozen ones are horrible. I did not like this recipe. The sauce was way too thin and there was too much of it (not to mention how horribly sweet it was). The meatballs really never took on the flavors in the sauce.I thought if I refrigerated the meatballs overnight that they would absorb more of the flavor, which they did a little. Not worth eating and was a waste of some homemade meatballs. Not sure why I picked this recipe other than I had some canned whole cranberries I wanted to use up. I would not even try to make this again by adjusting the recipe.
