Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork spareribs
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Place ribs on a jelly roll pan. Cover tightly with foil; bake at 450 degrees F for 45 minutes or until tender. Drain off any fat. In a saucepan, combine all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over ribs. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F; bake, uncovered, for 1 hour, basting frequently.
